Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min attend an event for “Playful Kiss” in Japan

Actors Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min recently met with their Japanese fans at an event commemorating the broadcast of “Playful Kiss” in Japan.

On May 3rd, the actors met with about 6,000 fans in two different events held at Osaka’s Grand Cube Hall. Tickets for the two events sold out on the first day the tickets became available, and it’s largely being attributed to Kim Hyun Joong’s popularity.

The idol-turned-actor spoke candidly at the event, saying, “I was very worried about my fans after hearing the news about the earthquake in March. I was very disappointed that I couldn’t come in March, but I’m happy I get to see you all before the drama starts its broadcast.”

The two shared some behind-the-scenes stories from set, and showed their affection for their characters. Kim Hyun Joong also sang ‘Thanks‘ and ‘One More Time‘ at the event, giving his personal fans an extra treat at the event.

Kim Hyun Joong participates in a marathon supporting childhood cancer

On May 1st, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong joined about 150 people in a Seoul city marathon competition at the Han River Park in support of children affected by cancer.

This was the 8th marathon co-hosted by the Running Doctors of Korea corporation and the Korean Marathon Association.

At the event, Kim Hyun Joong helped out in the ceremonial handover by presenting $23,000 USD in donations collected by employees of an anonymous company to the two organizations.asdf

The proceeds from this competition will go to the aid of children suffering from cancer.\

Extending my deepest condolences

to the victims of the Earthquake that happened in the North-eastern Pacific region

I understand that on the 11th of March,

there was an earthquake in the north-eastern pacific.

After knowing about the devastating aftermath of the earthquake,

I am very worried.

Originally the event was to be held today,

and I’ve been looking forward to meet everyone.

However, because of the disaster that happened,

we were forced to cancel the plans to visit Japan.

I am not sure if every victim of the earthquake are all in a very dire state or not,

but I really hope that everyone will take care of their health

and continue to pray that everyone can quickly go back to live in safe, peaceful times again.

I look forward to the day when I could see everyone in the highest form again.

Kim Hyun Joong made a donation of 100 million Won to help the Japan Earthquake.

On the 14th, Kim Hyun Joong had made a donation of 100 million won through DA agency to help the victims and the damages caused by the Japan earthquake.

Kim Hyun Joong said “I was shocked and sad to hear the news. Although i cannot help much, but i hope everything will recover quickly and i hope to be able to help those victims.”

He added with favour, “There are a lot of people who need our help. Let’s all join our hearts together and give them hope.”

An Japan agency official revealed, “To show his concern, Kim Hyun Joong had seeked my opinion of the fastest way to purchase aid supplies and to be delivered to the victims as soon as possible.

Actor and singer Kim Hyun Joong has recently donated 100 million won to the victims of the recent earthquake in Japan.

His agency in Japan, Digital Adventure (DA), asked that the money be used in the afflicted areas, and for victims with the greatest need.  Kim Hyun Joong said, “My heart hurts so much to hear about this.  I hope that everyone can stay strong.”  He also said, “Many people are joining hands in this crisis.  Everyone, please come together with one heart.

Original Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon and ‘Little Yonsama’, Kim Hyun Joong, successfully held a joint stage together.

Over 45,000 fans attended DATV’s charitable event, called “‘SMILE PROJECT’ charity program ‘Message! to Asia’“, which was held on December 14th in the Tokyo Dome.

Kim Hyun Joong opened the event with his performance of ‘The Strength of a Smile’, which was produced by Japan’s famous producer, Komuro Tetsuya.

Hyun Joong’s performance was followed by stages from artists Hwanhee, D.NA, SHU-I, Joe Cheng, Vanness Wu, GACKT, and of course, Bae Yong Joon

After this event, Hyun Joong and Bae Yong Joon attended the ceremony held later in the afternoon at the JCB Hall. The ceremony was wrapped up with a special photo-taking session with their fans. The fans were honored to see the two together, and called them ‘Leader‘ (SS501 Leader) and ‘Yong Joon-ssi’, respectively

Kim Hyun Joong schedules solo debut for May...^_^

News reports of Kim Hyun Joong finalizing his debut solo album have recently surfaced, but kim hyun joong has denied the reports, saying that the project is far from complete.

His agency spoke through Newsen on February 7th and stated, “Kim Hyun Joong’s album is scheduled for release this May. It’s a bit too early to say that he’s ready for his comeback, however. We’re still discussing his concept and collecting songs. He also hasn’t recorded any of the songs yet.”

Since it’s his solo debut, Kim Hyun Joong revealed that he wanted to put in his best effort before rushing to release. His CEO added, “He won’t be acting or participating in other activities until the release of his album. He has a lot of greed with his music, and will be focusing entirely on that.”

Excluding Kim Kyu Jong, all of the members of SS501 are currently preparing for their solo debuts.

kim hyun joong, the latest ambassador of korean beauty brand The Face Shop ( TFS ), appeared to the Malaysia pressat the Ritz Carlton in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 4. TFS has 900 store in 90 countries including Korea. Malaysia is the second largest foreign partner of TFS, after China.

Hyun-joong, who is known for his role in the highly-popular drama Boys Over Flowers and as the leader of boyband SS501, strolled into the press room dressed in a beige suit.
The star looked tired and a little spaced out. Nonetheless, he greeted the press saying, “A very good morning to everybody, this is my second time in Malaysia. I was here briefly the first time, and thanks to TFS Malaysia and Korea, I get the chance to visit Malaysia again.

When the topic of Malaysia’s warm, tropical weather came up, Hyun-joong said: “Korea is very cold now since it’s winter. I was thinking how great it would be if my fans in Malaysia got a chance to visit Korea to experience a white Christmas.”
The talent also launched TFS’s Christmas campaign: Love the Season, Love The Face Shop, which features the spanking new White Tree Snow gift pack.

During the Q&A session, the 24-year-old provided “politically correct” answers to most of the questions thrown at him, but one query stumped the star. He was asked how he felt being one of the most gorgeous and handsome men around.
Hyun-joong niftily avoided answering the question the first time and when asked again, he was speechless…and shy. How sweet.

The star, who has flawless skin, then spoke about his fave product from TFS. “The facial product I like the most is the Brightening Rice Water Cleansing Foam (Migamsu) for cleansing, and also the White Tree Snow, which I have been using.
“I also know that the mask pack is popular among Malaysians…I use that too,” he added.
The singer-cum-actor also shared his beauty regimen before hitting the sack. “I’ll take a shower first. After that, I’ll put on some skin lotion. Next, I’ll put on a mask pack for moisturization and rehydration.”
Before the PC came to an end, the talent was asked whether he would choose TFS products or his guitar if he were stranded on a deserted island.


The Hallyu star cleverly replied: “If there’s a possibility of being rescued, I would choose TFS products. But if there isn’t any possibility of being rescued, I would choose my guitar so I can entertain myself.”
